A flavor that can only be produced in Hakushu.This is a collaboration between two famous water sources, with Shichiken aged in whiskey barrels at the Suntory Hakushu Distillery. The medium-dry, sour taste comes from “secondary fermentation in the bottle.” In addition to spices derived from the barrels, such as maple syrup and vanilla, there are aromas of lemon, macadamia nuts, ricotta cheese, and apple pie.

Kato Kichibei Shoten is a long-established company with a history of 325 years (165 years since it began manufacturing sake) and is now in its 11th generation. (As of July 2025)
It has been adopted as the official in-flight beverage for Japanese government aircraft and is frequently used for toasts at important state functions, including welcome dinners for state guests. It is exported to 118 countries overseas, including overseas diplomatic missions (embassies and consulates). “Born” has been designated and adopted by many overseas diplomatic missions and is used as the official banquet wine for state functions in various countries.
